The youth development office is strategic in providing machanisms to deal with the youth development issues outlined as follows:

To develop programmes aimed at building skills and technical capacity among young people within local government

To develop youth development policy and strategy

To integrate issues of youth development into the mainstream of social development

To integrate youth development programmes within government sectoral department
